Take a stroll through the most popular ones here in the north of Fuerteventura and let yourself be surprised.
Traditional Market in La Oliva
Here you will find typical handmade needlework (calados majoreros), pieces of art (oil painting and collage technique), mojos (local sauces), jams, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, aloe vera products, liqueurs, sweets, a variety of bread, jewellery, wood and leather handicrafts. When? Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 14:00 in the Casa del Coronel.
Puerto del Rosario Markets
At the weekends, the capital of Fuerteventura has market fever to cater for the large influx of visitors. On Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 on the pedestrian street of 1º de Mayo you will find the Arts and Flowers market. As its name indicates it´s the ideal place to purchase an art object, plants, flowers and handicrafts. On Saturdays you also have the Biosphere Agricultural Market from 08:00 to 14:00 at the main bus station with natural and home grown products. On Sundays between 08:00 to 14:00 in the Plaza de la Paz there is a second hand market with lots on offer, children’s activities and live music.
Corralejo Market
In Corralejo you have 3 different markets to enjoy during the week. Just down from the only Acua Water Park in Fuerteventura, there is a local market that sells all types of handicraft and accessories every Tuesday and Friday from 09:00 to 14:00. Campanario Shopping Centre has its own handicraft market which also sells ecological products on Thursdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 14:00 and last but not least, on Saturdays the Campanario shopping centre offers an open air second hand market where you can find plenty of bargains.
Lajares Handicraft Markets
In the main square of this village from 10:00 to 15:00 every Saturday, there is a handicraft and locally produced ecological market.
